Note: “Dieting for weight loss” refers to long-term reduction of one’s food intake to establish a routine, thereby reducing stomach capacity and controlling weight gain; it does not mean skipping dinner. Moreover, many people skip dinner but eat a lot for lunch, equivalent to eating the amount of two meals at once, inadvertently expanding the stomach size. Some food lovers skip dinner but indulge in snacks, which backfires, resulting in gaining more weight.

The second one, exercise is the most effective for weight loss

Many people prefer to lose weight through exercise, with jogging being quite common. I remember one time in the dining hall, a girl lamented while eating braised pork, “Oops! Couldn’t resist, ate two extra pieces of braised pork. Looks like I’ll have to run a few extra laps tonight.” I couldn’t help but wonder if running really has such a great effect on weight loss?

The third one, liposuction

Some people are extremely overweight, having tried all weight loss methods to no avail, resulting in gaining more weight instead. Finally, they think of a convenient method – directly removing the fat through liposuction.

Note: Liposuction surgery involves surgically removing fat from areas where the patient feels obese. While liposuction can reshape the body, it does not lead to weight loss. Stop doing foolish things.

The fourth one, skipping main meals and just eating fruits

We need to eat every day to obtain the energy we need for our activities from food. However, with obvious nutritional excess leading to severe obesity, some think of not eating staples (rice, noodles) and only consuming fruits to suppress hunger. Fruits are rich in vitamins, have low protein and fat content, so won’t this make you as thin as a monkey? Monkeys seem to only eat fruits.

The fifth one, drinking “laxative” slimming tea

Nowadays, many businesses target the weight loss market, with many slimming teas primarily relying on inducing diarrhea. By causing diarrhea, it prevents food from staying in the body, reducing the retention of nutrients in the abdomen, hindering the absorption in the body and preventing the accumulation of fat. Isn’t it better to not eat anything or reduce food intake instead of resorting to this? It’s just a temporary fix rather than addressing the root cause. Long-term consumption can lead to dependency and damage to the digestive system.

Setting aside genetic factors, generally, people with good appetites are more prone to obesity. Simply put, if you consume more than you burn, the excess substances are stored as fat, leading to obesity. While the explanation can get more intricate, the basic principle is to reduce food intake while maintaining regular exercise; forming these habits can resolve weight loss issues. Many times, it’s our inability to control our eating habits and laziness towards exercise that result in an obese body, prompting us to come up with these series of “stupid” actions.
