Three things that men love to do before bed can seriously torment the kidneys; if one can be given up, the kidneys will feel better.
Currently, we have made significant progress in the demand for gender equality, but this does not mean that men and women should bear the same social responsibilities and survival obligations. Instead, it implies a rational division of labor in social work according to individual characteristics, though the majority still live in a model where men are the breadwinners and women manage the home. Relatively speaking, men remain an indispensable component of both society and family. As society develops rapidly, the pressures that men face in life are also increasing, necessitating that they pour all their efforts into work to secure enough returns to maintain the household.
Men naturally have stronger physical fitness, so they rarely encounter significant problems. Even when faced with health issues, they generally manage to alleviate them quickly with medication, seemingly paying little attention to their health. However, there are exceptions; the kidneys are the organs that men pay the most attention to, as they determine physical fitness and hormone secretion in the body. Yet, there are always some inadvertent small habits in daily life that can cause various harm to the kidneys.
Three things that men love to do before bed can seriously torment the kidneys; if one can be given up, the kidneys will feel better.
Drinking large amounts of water before bed
Water is essential for our bodily functions, so we must always be mindful of hydration. However, the timing is critical; for instance, during the day, as we are busy with work, our bodies consume more water and restroom access is convenient. But if one drinks a lot of water before going to bed, the water recirculation cycle in the body is approximately two hours. Therefore, soon after falling asleep, a large amount of metabolic water gathers in the kidney area, causing the kidneys to become overly tense. Additionally, metabolic water can precipitate in the kidneys and even lead to infections in the kidney cells, worsening kidney function.
Taking a shower before bed
Nowadays, life is becoming increasingly convenient, and almost every household has a water heater. Thus, many people enjoy taking a hot shower before sleep, thinking it relieves stress and helps with sleep. However, the bathing process accelerates blood circulation in the body, leading to the kidneys and other organs becoming tense, which is not conducive to sleep. Once sleep is insufficient, the kidneys are most affected, resulting in increased workload, suppression of hormone secretion, decreased kidney activity, and so on.
Eating before bed
For most people, lying in bed at night is the most relaxing moment of the day, free from work worries, which increases their appetite. As a result, many people lie in bed playing on their phones while eating. However, at this time, the operating rate of various organs in the body gradually decreases, easily leading to a slowdown in metabolism and creating significant metabolic pressure on the kidneys. This can disrupt hormone secretion, lower kidney cell activity, and may even lead to the loss of kidney essence.
