At what age should men start nourishing their kidneys? Take a look, don’t “tonify” at will when not needed.

Must read

Many people only know that the kidneys are the urinary organs of the human body, in fact, the kidneys also have absorption and secretion functions; renal tubules can absorb nutrients and most of the water in the original urine, providing energy to the body while also preventing the growth of bacteria, which can harm human health.

The adrenal glands secrete adrenaline, sex hormones, etc., participating in regulating various metabolic functions in the human body.

So, people with healthy kidneys have very healthy bodies, showing high energy levels, less prone to fatigue, full of enthusiasm for life, and strong immunity, less likely to get sick.

Why do people always say men need to nourish their kidneys?
We often hear people say that men need to pay attention to nourishing their kidneys, while women need to take care of their livers. Is it because men’s kidneys are naturally not as good as women’s? In fact, regardless of gender, both men and women need to pay attention to kidney health.

However, people are prone to misunderstandings and can easily be exploited by some unscrupulous businessmen who use kidney nourishing as an excuse to sell related health products. Kidneys cannot be indiscriminately supplemented; improper dietary habits or taking health supplements can likely harm the kidneys. The best way to nourish the kidneys is not by taking medicine or health supplements but by cultivating good lifestyle habits, including avoiding staying up late, avoiding excessive physical exhaustion, maintaining a balanced diet, smoking and drinking less, and avoiding excessive indulgence (including material and emotional desires). Especially for men, this aspect is often overlooked and requires more attention.

At what age do men need to nourish their kidneys?
Before the age of 18, kidneys are generally weak; the kidneys of children, regardless of gender, are weak during immature body development. This is because their kidneys have not fully matured, so expecting them to have strong functionality is unrealistic. Particularly, boys under the age of 9 often experience bed-wetting and excessive sweating at night. The question of whether these weak kidneys need nourishing is completely unnecessary.

What to do then? Just encourage children to engage in more physical activities such as basketball, soccer, running, swimming, badminton, taekwondo, etc. Get children moving and active instead of being overly sheltered. For children aged 6-16, especially boys, being covered in mud or sweat after school every day indicates good health. As their bodies mature, kidney weakness diminishes. Excessive protection from wind, rain, or dirt may not necessarily be beneficial for children.

In terms of nutrition, avoid picky eating or imbalanced diets; consume fewer snacks like “junk food” (such as spicy strips, instant noodles, carbonated drinks, etc.); include fresh fruits, milk, and a moderate amount of nuts in the diet to meet children’s energy needs with three balanced meals a day. During adolescence, refrain from smoking, drinking alcohol, and staying up late (no later than 11 p.m.) to nourish the kidneys.

Do men aged 18-30 need kidney nourishment?
At this age, as long as young people have not been excessively indulgent or have health issues, their kidneys are generally not weak. Feeling kidney deficiency is often a sign of lack of confidence.

Individuals vary in physical constitution, and some children who have enjoyed physical exercise from a young age may have stronger bodies due to genetic factors. Therefore, having slightly weaker physical quality does not necessarily mean kidney weakness.

At this stage, there is no need to consume kidney tonics; in fact, it is not recommended as it can lead to dependency and potential harm to the kidneys as not all kidney tonics are trustworthy. If concerned about kidney deficiency, joining the military for a few years can help strengthen one’s health.

It should be noted that at this age, now adults, individuals may be less receptive to parental advice, making it easier to develop unhealthy habits that can put their kidneys at risk. Common issues include:

1. Staying up late, often playing on phones or video games until late at night.
2. Smoking and drinking alcohol – many men at this age still have such habits, and some women too; excessive indulgence, especially when becoming easily intoxicated, can strain the kidneys.
3. Drinking carbonated drinks – many boys enjoy these beverages, adding to the metabolic burden on the kidneys.
4. Excessive indulgence – especially when young men are exploring relationships, they may excessively indulge themselves; even obedient men who avoid smoking and drinking may experience kidney weakness due to this behavior.

Do men aged 30-40 need kidney nourishment?
At this stage, men are more prone to kidney weakness due to excessive indulgence, high life stress, and frequent social engagements. However, it is still not advisable to consume kidney tonics. It is important to balance work and rest, avoid staying up late, prevent excessive fatigue, and engage in moderate physical activities.

In terms of nutrition, it is important to supplement energy and have higher requirements for protein and carbohydrates, so three balanced meals a day should be sufficient. Pay attention to a balanced diet, avoiding malnutrition due to overly thrifty habits. How should men nourish their kidneys after 40?
At this stage, male kidney energy naturally starts declining, especially after the age of 50 when some men enter menopause, but this does not mean one should resort to drinking kidney tonics.

At this age, overall physical quality is not as robust as before, and kidney function naturally decreases; therefore, it is crucial not to rush into kidney tonics upon hearing about kidney weakness.

As the saying goes, “medication cannot replace nutrition, nutrition cannot replace proper sleep.” At this point, it is recommended for male individuals to develop good sleep habits, avoid staying up late, minimize or avoid smoking and alcohol consumption, and engage in reasonable physical exercise. Eating well, sleeping well, and exercising correctly are the keys to kidney health; expecting your body to perform better than when you were younger is unrealistic.

In conclusion, the key to nourishing kidneys lies in developing good lifestyle habits, including maintaining a balanced diet, nutrition intake, regular physical exercise, good sleep, and maintaining a positive mindset. It is best to avoid consuming unnecessary health products or medications.

The worst thing one can do is self-medicate without an illness, which can harm the kidneys, liver, and other metabolic organs of the body. Therefore, avoid using unverified remedies or falsely advertised health products. If nurturing healthy lifestyle habits is synonymous with kidney nourishment, then it is necessary at any age. If assuming that only kidney tonics can nourish the kidneys, then it may not always be necessary at any age, nor is it advisable to consume them indiscriminately.
