Once again remind: If men develop three small habits, your prostate will “thank you”

Must read

When it comes to men, they are considered the backbone of the family. They work hard to earn a living, support the family, and protect their loved ones from hardships. Many male friends often socialize for work, drink with clients, stay up late, smoke, and have irregular eating habits. Over time, these unhealthy habits can put men in a suboptimal state of health. However, they often neglect their own well-being, thinking they are strong enough to handle it.

Aside from their inner strength, men should pay particular attention to a vulnerable part of their bodies, the prostate. This part is as crucial for men as the uterus is for women. Unhealthy habits such as sitting with crossed legs, prolonged sitting, and excessive indulgence can impact the prostate. Therefore, it is essential to cultivate good habits that benefit the prostate without realizing it.

1. Timely Urination

Many men have the bad habit of holding their urine, especially those who are used to staying in bed in the morning. While one or two instances of holding urine may not seem harmful, the process can cause extreme tension in the prostate, leading to the accumulation of bacteria and retained metabolic fluids in the body. This increases the risk of bacterial infections. Men should break the habit of holding in urine as timely urination is crucial for prostate health.

2. Avoid Crossing Legs

Sitting for extended periods can affect blood circulation and metabolism, potentially harming the prostate. Men often have the habit of crossing their legs while sitting, which can exert pressure on the prostate. It’s best to avoid this habit. If sitting for long periods due to work is unavoidable, it’s recommended to stand up, stretch, or take short walks every hour.

3. Stand on Your Toes When Urinating

Men should remember to stand on their toes while urinating, as the prostate might appreciate this gesture. Raising onto your toes can effectively activate the bladder muscles to fully empty the bladder, reducing bacterial growth. It also helps relax the prostate. Therefore, it’s beneficial to practice standing on your toes whenever possible. In Japanese men’s restrooms, the urinals are typically built higher since the average height of Japanese men is relatively short. This design encourages men to stand on their toes while urinating, showing thoughtful consideration for their well-being.
