These four commonly found kidney-nourishing foods not only fail to make the kidneys stronger but instead become a burden on the kidneys

These four common kidney-nourishing foods not only fail to strengthen the kidneys but instead become a burden on the kidneys.

Our bodies have numerous organs, and it is the hard work of these organs that ensures the normal functioning of the body every day. For both men and women, although most organs are the same in the body, there are many differences. For example, the uterus is the most important organ for women, while the kidneys are just a normal water metabolism organ for women. However, the kidneys are the most important part of the body for men because they are responsible for balancing internal water levels and secreting various hormones. Men’s physical fitness, aging speed, and even the relationship between spouses are related to the kidneys. Therefore, although men usually do not pay much attention to their health, they place great importance on kidney maintenance.

Once problems occur in men’s kidneys, not only will urination be affected, but the person’s mental state and overall health will also be affected. Hormonal imbalances within the body, decreased physical fitness, and disturbances in multiple indicators may occur. However, men often have unintentional habits that can harm the kidneys. More importantly, most men have significant misconceptions about kidney nourishment methods. Despite spending time and money, the kidneys do not improve but instead deteriorate over time.

Pork Kidney

In China, there has always been a belief in using substances to nourish similar organs, such as eating walnuts to enhance intelligence or drinking bone broth to strengthen bones. When it comes to nourishing the kidneys, many people naturally choose pork kidneys. However, despite frequent consumption by men, there has been no change in the kidneys. On the contrary, more problems have surfaced. This is mainly because pork kidneys are animal organs that contain a high amount of cholesterol and purines, which when ingested can lead to increased blood lipids and uric acid levels. This, in turn, greatly increases the burden on the kidneys, potentially leading to conditions such as nephritis and kidney stones. Furthermore, pork kidneys may contain certain heavy metals that can lead to heavy metal poisoning if regularly consumed.

Sheep Testicles

Sheep testicles, known as “yang bao,” are believed by many to contain a high amount of male hormones, which may help nourish the kidneys. However, once the male hormones in sheep testicles are destroyed through high-temperature heating, they become unusable to humans. The cholesterol content in sheep testicles is also very high, and frequent consumption by men can lead to increased blood lipid levels, hindering blood circulation and placing significant pressure on the kidneys, consequently causing kidney function to deteriorate.

Oysters

For a long time, many men have believed that oysters greatly aid in kidney nourishment because they are rich in zinc, which is essential for synthesizing male hormones. It is commonly thought that consuming oysters can effectively promote the secretion of male hormones within the body and thus nourish the kidneys. However, research has not found evidence that the zinc in oysters can be absorbed by the human body. On the contrary, the rich purine content in oysters is easily absorbed by the body, leading to elevated uric acid levels and potentially causing gout-related kidney diseases.

Meat Broth

As the saying goes, “A sip of soup before a meal keeps the stomach unharmed.” Therefore, many people have the habit of drinking soup before meals, which is a good nourishing method in itself. However, many mistakenly believe that drinking meat broth can nourish the kidneys. Although meat broth, after long hours of simmering, is thought to have its nutrients easily absorbed by the kidneys, studies have shown that prolonged heating destroys most of the nutrients in the broth. Therefore, it does not provide any nourishing effects to the body. On the contrary, the purine and nitrate content within the broth can increase, easily burdening the kidneys and reducing their activity.
