What conditions must a man meet to be considered healthy? If you meet them all, it means good health with sufficient yang energy.

Must read

Men often claim to have good health, but in reality, there are quite a few men whose health conditions are not optimistic and are in a sub-healthy state. Men are the backbone of the family, bearing a heavy responsibility to provide for the family. Coupled with many men’s poor lifestyle habits, lack of exercise, and ignorance in caring for their own bodies, over time, especially as they reach middle age, various health problems can easily arise.

In fact, men have advantages in terms of physical health. Men generally have good physical fitness and muscle mass. However, only by taking good care of their bodies, cultivating good lifestyle habits, can their health be maintained. Only with good physical health can men have sufficient “yang energy” and exhibit masculine characteristics.

For men, being disease-free does not necessarily mean good health. So, what conditions must men meet to be considered in good health?

Having strong legs and feet is a prerequisite for good health. If a man can perform 19 squats continuously within 30 seconds, it indicates strong leg strength and robust leg bones and joints.

Another aspect to consider is cardiovascular function. Many men have the habit of smoking, which is detrimental to the heart and lungs. To assess one’s cardiovascular function, a simple breath-holding test can be conducted. Holding one’s breath for over 40 seconds indicates good cardiovascular function, while over 50 seconds suggests even better cardiovascular health. Holding one’s breath for less than 30 seconds indicates poor cardiovascular function.

Grip strength is a key indicator of overall male health. Studies have shown that men with stronger grip strength tend to have longer lifespans. A normal grip strength for men is around 40 kilograms. If an individual can grip with such strength, it indicates good physical health.

The number of push-ups a man can perform also reflects his physical fitness. Being able to do 40 push-ups in one go signifies good physical condition, indicating ample strength in the arm muscles and core body muscles. Failing to complete even 20 push-ups suggests average physical fitness.

Waist circumference is an important measure of male physical fitness. Unlike women whose weight gain tends to be distributed throughout the body, men tend to gain weight in the abdominal region. Increased abdominal fat in men raises the risk of cardiovascular problems and is detrimental to health. Men with good physical health generally have a waist circumference not exceeding 85 cm, while a waist measurement exceeding 90 cm indicates the need for weight loss.

Appetite is also a significant indicator of male health. Having a good appetite without excessive hunger or loss of appetite, with no digestion issues post-meals, indicates a healthy digestive system and overall good health.

Oral health, often overlooked by many men, is a crucial element in assessing overall health. Having white teeth, free of cavities, bad breath, gum recession, or periodontal issues signifies good oral health.

Only when a man’s body is in good health can the “yang energy” inside be sufficient. If not, the internal energy is usually lacking. Meeting the above standards, either in full or at least half, suggests good physical fitness and health. Failing to meet even half of these standards indicates poor health, already in a sub-healthy state, requiring immediate attention to exercise, balanced nutrition, adopting good lifestyle habits, and taking good care of the body; otherwise, health problems may arise.
