What are the signs of women with excessive moisture in their bodies?
1. Urine becomes cloudy and is produced in small amounts. There are frequent but unsatisfactory urges to urinate, often accompanied by brief discomfort or pain, and some women may experience increased vaginal discharge.
2. Stool is unformed and loose; even if it is somewhat formed, it tends to be very soft and can easily stick to the toilet, making it hard to flush away. If such situations occur, it is generally caused by excessive moisture.
3. People with high moisture levels typically experience body fatness, with an enlarged abdomen; the larger it gets, the more moisture accumulation there is. In severe cases, there may be issues like lower limb edema, indicating that they must be cautious about moisture levels.
4. Those with excessive internal moisture will have a swollen tongue with imprints from their teeth and a thick layer of white coating on the tongue when they wake up in the morning.
5. Every morning, hair and face are oily, complexion appears dull, and there may occasionally be puffiness under the eyes, leading to an overall feeling of grogginess and lethargy.
6. Moisture and toxins can disrupt the spleen, affecting daily digestive functions, typically resulting in symptoms like chest tightness, abdominal distension, loss of appetite, and reduced food intake. There are often signs of fatigue, such as a dry or sticky mouth, thirst without desire to drink, and overall weakness due to Qi deficiency and moisture accumulation.
If you have experienced any of these symptoms, it is time to eliminate moisture from your body. There are two types of food that should be consumed more to help expel moisture and toxins for a more comfortable feeling.
First, porridge
1. Prepare equal amounts of red adzuki beans and job’s tears, wash and soak them in water. The adzuki beans need to soak for about three hours, while the job’s tears can soak for just one hour.
2. Add a small amount of water to the pot and start by boiling the adzuki beans. Once boiling, add more water and repeat this process three times. This helps the beans bloom easily, cook quickly, and have a pleasant aroma.
3. Once the adzuki beans have burst open, add the job’s tears, bring to a boil on high heat, then reduce to low heat until it thickens, and finally add rock sugar for flavor.
Second, yam
Yam can be rather bland, and during the summer when appetite is lacking, you can choose to stew yam with lamb to deal with the desire for meat while avoiding the problem of exacerbating moisture. Cut the lamb into small pieces and blanch to remove blood. Place it in a stew pot, add spices, and cut the yam into small pieces to add to the pot for high-heat stewing. Since eating lamb in summer can cause heat, consider adding a few pieces of radish to balance the lamb’s heat effectively.
