Sprouted peanuts are a “treasure” for consumption. They can be boiled and eaten without any worry, aiding in fat reduction and weight loss, as well as protecting the cardiovascular system!

Must read

Peanuts are also known as “longevity fruits” by people. Many people enjoy them as snacks in their daily lives. Having peanuts while chatting with family, watching TV, is always a great idea.

Some people also like to chew on peanuts while drinking alcohol. Sometimes, peanuts sprout if left uneaten for too long, which can be surprising.

Sprouted peanuts are considered a “treasure” – they can be boiled and eaten, aid in fat loss, and protect the cardiovascular system!

While sprouted potatoes are not safe to eat, sprouted peanuts are safe as long as there are no black or brown spots on the surface, and there is no unusual smell. Sprouted peanuts are not only edible but also have higher nutritional value, providing many benefits to the body.

1. Facilitates better absorption by the body

Some people may experience bloating when consuming peanuts due to their high protein content. However, sprouted peanuts have reduced protein inhibitors, which accelerate protein breakdown into peptides, amino acids, and other active substances, making them easier to absorb.

2. Decreases fat content

Although peanuts are naturally high in fat, sprouted peanuts have lower fat content, making them less likely to cause weight gain and aiding in weight loss.

3. Antioxidant properties

As peanuts sprout, their nutritional value increases, containing a substance called resveratrol. This substance protects the blood vessels, helps prevent cardiovascular diseases, and aids in antioxidant defense.

Method for sprouting peanuts

1. Start with fresh white-skinned peanuts, avoiding red-skinned peanuts as they contain vitamin K, unsuitable for individuals with high blood viscosity and high blood lipids.

2. Soak the peanuts in water overnight, then place them in a container, cover with a damp cloth, and keep in a 25-degree environment.

3. Every two hours, rinse the peanuts, sprinkle water on the cloth to prevent mold growth. After about a day, tender sprouts will emerge.

Lastly, when the peanut sprouts reach about 1 inch, they are best for consumption, offering a tender texture suitable for stir-frying or salad preparation.

If the peanut sprouts grow too long, they may impact the taste and develop a bitter flavor.
